Chapter Forty Four

A month later

"Where the fuck are they?" Daniel's frown deepened as he stared at his wristwatch for the umpteenth time. He'd returned home from visiting his friends and when he asked about his father and Eileen, he was told they'd gone to the airport so he'd guessed that Ethan and Saira were returning today but that was five hours ago.

Surely, the traffic couldn't be so bad that they'd be stuck in it for five hours!

The airport was like a two hour drive from their estate so either they'd gone out to celebrate or their flight had been delayed and they weren't coming home anymore but since it was a private jet... they had no excuse whatsoever not to be home by now.

Daniel paced to and fro in the sitting room wondering who he could call to ask about the jet when he heard his father's voice in the hallway and he let out a sigh of relief.
