CHAPTER FIFTY SEVEN

I couldn’t get through everything Giovanni had told me last night about Yvonne and what she had done to Alexander. To both of them. I still can't believe that someone could be so cruel as to harm a child. Letting out a sigh, my face scrunches up at the discomfort I was feeling in the depths of my stomach. I was wondering if it was because I didn’t sleep much last night, or probably something I ate. I don't recall eating anything bad yesterday. Maybe last night's dinner didn't digest well because I definitely wasn't feeling well this morning. I turned around to look for Giovanni but found his side of the bed empty. I placed my hand on the side where he had laid down, and it felt cold. When I looked at my phone clock, I realised it was almost 9:30 a.m. I can't believe I overslept. I must be really tired.
