CHAPTER SIX

Selena jumped up at the sound of the alarm, she was scared from what had happened to her the previous days. She was confused and didn't know where she was, or what could she possibly be doing at this place. It was a very big bedroom with expensive interiors laying around every little corner, she was still confused when she sights a picture of Howard.

The events from yesterday quickly came back and she realized she was at Howard's, why would he have brought her to his place she wondered.

She wasn't sure of the job she had gotten anymore,s he had missed her first day of work. This could be Howard's opportunity to get rid of her. She felt embarrassed and disappointed, what else could she possibly d.? She was going to swallow her pride and ask Howard for some money just so she leaves this place. It has more harm than good. She also thought if she should just leave without saying a without saying anything but she wasn't going o be able to do that while Howard was awake.

She got up from the bed and felt a slight headache which made her stop for some minutes, she walked to the window and was amazed by the beautiful sight in front of her, she wondered how he could have possibly gotten all this wealth it was undeniable that Howard was always hard working and a serious-minded person that also applies to sex.

At the thought of that, she checks herself to confirm if he hadn't done something with her but what was the point, this was the same person she had shared so many memories with.

She felt stupid for even feeling that way cause sex was something she would willingly give to him with just a touch. He knew her body so well, they had several good times with each other which Howard seemed to enjoy as much as she did but she still didn't understand why he had to break up with her and break her heart like that, this was one of the many questions which she asked herself all the time but just like the rest, there were no answers.

He looked so handsome as he slept, a part of her felt he must care about her to come to find her while another part of her says otherwise. It would only be confirmed when he woke up. He was probably going to act cold again she thought, he wasn't wearing any clothes which made her wish they could have some intimate moments together but that couldn't happen especially not when the person kept going on and off.

Howard moved and she suddenly felt her heart sounding fast, she was scared of what the situation was going to be when he got up from his sleep.

"Would he act cold and ask her to leave his house immediately? Would he be nice to her ? she was continuously making up different scenes in her head. She couldn't believe she would ever have to feel this way around Howard it felt unreal.

They used to be best friends and were comfortable being around each other which wasn't the case now. She would prefer to be out of his presence any minute.

She gently walks towards the door and attempts to open it but she had no idea how it worked, she gave it several tries not realizing Howard was now awake and was giving her a very long stare with his broad arms crossed around his chest.

"What are you doing ?" he said and she jumped up in fear, she contemplated turning around or not but that would only make things more awkward, she slowly turns around and her eyes immediately fix on his.

What was she going to do now, she had to speak to reduce the tension in the room as she was already feeling hot.

"Good morning "she greeted in hopes of changing the topic.

He continues staring at her," What were you going to do Selena ?"

She was shocked she had thought he didn't remember who she was but here he calls her name in such a seductive manner. She was right all along, he was acting.

"I was about to leave "she stuttered.

"Leave to where I can see you like getting into trouble, don't you? he asked.

He was right, after all, all she ever did her entire life was getting into trouble and it wasn't even something she did intentionally.

"So is that the reason you have been following me around acting like you do not know who I am," she asked without knowing when she got the words out, she had decided she wasn't going to talk about this but here she was. She just blurted everything out and instantly regretted it, what if she was who couldn't even imagine how embarrassed she would be?

Howard has thoughts and just like he had thought she thinks he has been following her around he decides to say nothing but just accept this, explaining himself would be extremely hard and of no point anyways.

"We are late for work, you applied for a job right?"

Of course, she has and why then would he have to rub it on her face, she was pissed at this whole thing. How was she going to cope like this at that office, especially as his secretary?

"I would have to go home to get ready for work " she was saying this since he wouldn't open the door and let her go.

He stops what he was doing and gave her a stare, he was probably in disbelief that she wanted to go back to that place. He thought for a second if he should let her go back but didn't know how to, she wasn't going to listen to him. That area she lived in was a home for thugs, how did she even choose that place he wondered what could be done and finally comes up with an idea.
