Xevia's POV

We - Archer and I — ate breakfast in silence. We were busy observing the contents of each other's plates and heads, except Xander.

Xander kept speaking; he asked Archer many things about his little brother's plans, which apparently wanted to continue his education at an art university abroad.

However, Archer did not look excited when answering his foster brother's questions. I really just shut up and observed; as a new person in their family, I don't want to be said not to know the limit and over-interfere. After all, it's none of my business.

"Archer, tell me, is there anything I don't know?" Xander raised his note.

When the question left Xander's lips, I could feel the shift in Archer's expression.

"They followed me." My eyes changed direction to Archer's trembling hands that were wringing out the napkin next to his plate.

Xander's smile faded away to be replaced with a tightened jaw.

"Since when have they been following you?"
