Caught in between

Carmen sat still in the mist of the silence with her sight glue on her phone.

For minutes, she remained that way. But the harder Carmen stared, the more frustrated she got until she let out a deep sigh before pouting. Yet her eyes were still fixed on the phone.

The effort Carmen had used these past days felt like wasted time to her since Liam wasn't accepting any of her carefully planned excuses, and now he was just ending her call before she even uttered a word.

Yet, Carmen still craved to give it one last try since she didn't want to leave the country today with Dax while she and Liam were not on good terms.

But no matter how deep her desire was, Carmen couldn't bring herself to pick up the phone. Instead, she leaned back in her seat as her nails gently tapped upon her desk.

However, Carmen wasn't the only one stuck in such a dilemma. Two-mile away from SM company, Liam sat in his office with his gaze center on his phone.
