The conference

The moment Carmen stopped her car and the lights from the cameras begin to go off and on, she tightened her hands around the steering wheel while watching the reporters from her windshield.

Drowning in her own fear, Carmen's body didn’t know how to react, it just shut down, and she froze to a point where she was hardly breathing.

Suddenly a tap on her window drew Carmen's attention to Hunter's face as he stared back at her.

“Are you okay, young boss?” Hunter asked after Carmen had rolled the windshield down.

As she held in her tears and suppressed her emotions, Carmen’s face became expressionless. Then she pushed opened the door and stepped down from the car.

With a cold gaze, she stared at Hunter, pressed the lock button on her key, and asked, “Where're my parents?”

“They are already inside. Your dad sent me out here to wait on you.” Hunter replied.

“How nice of him. We shouldn't keep them waiting then.”

“Yes, young boss. Please keep
