Always be mine

I sat silently gazing at the sky, birds had started chirping a melodious song but it sounded like the tone of death to me.

No matter how much I tried to convince myself I could not act normally or focus on the blood moon.

What if it was just the beginning and I could not stop others from dying either?

"I can not protect these people," I said out loud as the reality started sinking in.

My breaths started getting heavy and I started feeling uneasy.

No matter how much I tried to take deep breaths, I felt like drowning in the ocean.

"No," a voice entered my ears, "we are going to protect everyone together."

"I want to be alone."

"No, you don't. I know you lost a friend and you're mourning his death."

"Murder," I said through gritted teeth, "it was a murder."

"Princess," he held my wrist but I pulled my hand away from him, "I know you are hurt and angry. You have all the rights to be. I am with you, tell me what you want."
