I was not a good friend

There was a loud growl that made the ground beneath my feet shake as I tried to stand.

I quickly moved my eyes toward the two wolves but only one of them was standing now.

It was a large brown wolf, it was the darkest shade of brown I had ever seen with some streaks of black between the fur. This wolf was different as compared to the mustard-brown wolf that was on the ground...not moving at all.

The brown wolf kept staring at me as though making sure I was fine.

"I am okay, Orion."

Orion's wolf let out a low sound.

My eyes fell on the other wolf once again and I quickly looked away.

Soon the sound of the cracking of bones entered my ears. After a few more minutes Alpha Orion was standing in front of me with a cold expression on his face.

"I..."

He did not let me say anything else and just scooped me in his arms like I weighed nothing.

I gulped.

"I have no idea who that wolf was."

Silence.

"I do not know why he thought I was taking their Luna's place."

Once again no response.
