How could I be so careless?

I missed the perfect opportunity, all the answers were under the same roof and yet I could not get them.

The red moon was barely a few days away and here I was sitting ideally.

Who could have taken the book?

The book had some information about the red moon. It could mean someone else was trying to find out about the moon as well or someone took the book on purpose so that I could not read it.

But why would anyone do that?

Bernadette? Only she knew I was looking for some answers about the red moon and she was the one who found me in the library.

But it could also be Mia. She was outside, maybe she followed me and saw I was reading the book. She wanted revenge because according to her I took Chelsea's place and even though she did not know anything about my nightmares if she knew I was interested in the book it would make sense for her to take it.

I could not search their rooms, it would be too risky but the book was my only hope.
