"Dad, why do I need a guard? I can handle this, I promise." My pleas were falling on deaf ears.

"I'm sorry Rina, as the future Luna, you need to understand how important this is. Alpha Jax wants you to have a guard at all times. Your safety has become a top priority." He stopped for a minute to look at me. "I know it doesn't seem it because of how much time I spend here, but your safety has always been a top priority to me."

I could see my dad's love for me in how he looked at me. He kissed my cheek and we began walking again. I hated the idea of having a guard. I barely got any privacy now!
