Avelina's expression moved from shock to horror in a split second. She shook her head and started walking towards the door.

"I can't believe you," she muttered under her breath.

"What the hell? Why are you just telling me this now? Don't I deserve a heads-up?"

"I'm sorry, but it's not something I can control."

"You didn't even warn me, Lorenzo."

"And, what would that have changed?" I asked, genuinely curious.

She stared at me and then shook her head. "Whatever. I don't have time for this. I need to prepare."

"You don't have to worry about anything. The only thing you need to do is act. You're going to act like the perfect wife and we'll make her believe all of this is real. Never give her the impression."

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be able to? It's not like this is a big deal." She sarcastically said.
