CHAPTER 20

LUCA’S POV

“So, your friend doesn’t like me”, I say as soon as we are seated. 

“Ignore her, its not you, she is weary of all men” Emberlynn says.

We are seated on the couch I purposely sat on earlier with her when I pretended Aria was invincible.

Damn has she grown even more beautiful, I could feel my heart still beating, I liked her enough that time, maybe even love I couldn’t be sure.

But now she seemed to be a present figure in Emberlynn’s life and I wasn’t sure where that would take me.

My one saving grace is that it didn’t seem like she told Emberlynn the whole story about us, if not saying my name earlier would have been disastrous.

Another thing was that she didn’t seem to remember our first encounter which was also good, or maybe I didn’t give her my name even then.

It came as a surprise that she didn’t bother to find out anything about me either, its not like it was a pleasant meeting.
