Chapter 65

Alton's POV

As usual, I made my way to Solana's place, but when I arrived, her store was already closed. I furrowed my brow and pulled out my phone, dialing her number, but she didn't answer. Fear began to consume me, so I quickly returned to my car and drove towards her house.

It took several hours of driving, and by the time I arrived, it was already dark outside. My forehead creased in concern when I saw their belongings packed up in the living room. Atlas was sitting on the couch, so I walked over to him.

"Are you going somewhere, buddy?" I asked, trying to understand the situation.

"I don't know," he replied, sounding uncertain.

After a while, Solana emerged from her room, and when she saw me, the luggage she was holding slipped from her grasp and fell to the floor. I hurried over to her, gently guiding her back into her room so we could have a private conversation.
