Solana's POV

I spent my day buried in work, but Solana's face kept crossing my mind.

The way she looked at me that night... I saw anger and jealousy.

I recognized that look because I used to glare that way at men who tried to get near her.

"Sir, here's the financial report you asked for," my secretary pulled me out of my thoughts about Solana.

I looked at him and nodded, then took the folder from his hand.

"Thank you," I said.

Glancing at my wristwatch, I realized it was already nine in the evening.

"You can go," I told him.

"What about you, Sir?" he asked, concern evident on his face, perhaps because I was working late again.

"I'll leave once I'm done reviewing this," I assured him, raising the folder he had handed me.

"Thank you, Sir," he said before stepping out of my office.

Once he was gone, I began reviewing the financial report and funds from last month.
