Ronan’s POV

Coming to an abrupt halt, I released my hand from Freya’s grip. I never would have allowed her to have that kind of control over me. However, I had no idea if she had something urgent to share which is why I followed obediently.

“Is there a reason you pulled me out like that?” I asked her.

Freya stared at me like I spoke in a foreign language. “What?”

I sighed helplessly, opening the door to the study. “Why did you drag me out like that? I was worried that something might have happened.”

She seemed disoriented for a few seconds before stuttering in response. “I. I just thought you might be ready to leave for the night. It is late already.”

“Come,” I mumbled. She walked into my arms and rested her head on my shoulder. “You look tired, have you been working so hard today?”
