I finally breathed a sigh of relief when the gunshots stopped. At least I was sure that J was safe, which was more important than anything. And now that the old men were gone, I could finally find out what the matter was.

I got up from my position near the wall and calmly faced the backers. Three of them were standing directly in front of the door and the other two were looking outside the window. Because the gunshots had stopped, I could guess the reason.
