Chapter Seventy Three

Jake has already been discharged from the hospital and we have come back to live in his mansion. He decides to stay at home for at least two weeks before resuming work.

"The food is nice," he commented as we were having our breakfast.

"Thank you. I made it specially for you," I beam out and he smiles. He drops his cutlery and touches my hand gently as we elapse in silence.

"Let's start a new life, let's start afresh, though I can't change the past, I will only live in guilt. Well, it's a good punishment for me," he broke the sudden silence.

I gently tap his hand which is on mine. "You don't have any reason to live in guilt. Just free up your mind and let's try and live happily though I know that we won't be at peace if that witch is not dead because she will definitely come back for us."
