Chapter Sixty Six

Two weeks later ....

I stare out through the window as the tears slide down. Losing mum hurts so much and I blame myself for her death. I really miss her and it's more hurtful that I didn't hear her last words. It's already been two weeks and I've not done anything to make those murders pay, it hurts me that they are still roaming around freely.

A hand gently touches my shoulder and I turn swiftly just to face Amber. She opened her arms widely for me and I threw myself in her arms.

"I can't bear it Amber, it's just so painful. I won't be able to forget my mum's death and it hurts that I'm not punishing those that killed her. It's two weeks now and I've done nothing to make them suffer," I mumbled.

"I will always be by your side and I will be there for you always.... Just know that. I promise you that everything is gonna be fine," she whispered and hugged me tighter.
