Chapter Sixty Seven

~ LEAH~

I slowly open my eyes and my head hurts. The last thing I can remember was speaking with Amber.

"You are awake." that was Amber's voice sounding besides me. I slowly twist my head to face her. I can't read the meaning into her mood.

"How did I end up on this bed?" I asked, staring directly into her eyes. She kept quite not replying to my question.

"Amber?" I call, trying to get her attention because she seems lost.

"Ehm.... You suddenly fainted and I don't know why. I called the doctor who checked on you and she said that you fainted due to stress," she replied, stressing out some of her words. I don't know why I feel that she is not telling the truth.

"That's the truth Leah," she cuts in as she notices that I don't actually buy what she just said now.

"But I never said it's a lie," I cut in and gently rose from the bed though I'm still sitting on it.

"You only defend yourself this way whenever you are not actually telling the truth." I added and she gulped down
