Chapter Three

After a few drinks, we decided to go clubbing because she thought it would cheer me up. "Let's go" she grabbed me by my hand as she led the way out of the bar.

"Babe, take care of yourself okay?" She said to Ivan as she kissed him, he had followed us outside to find out if we will be okay driving ourselves.

"Call me if anything. Okay? And don't come late" He kissed her back as I smiled getting in the car, "You know I always feel like this car doesn't bring us any good luck, I always feel like I am still in high school" she complained as she got in my car.

Lydia comes from a well-to-do family that deals in furniture, she isn't a brat but there's always that bratty attitude in her voice every time she opens her mouth.

"Really? You know that you can walk there right?" I offered and she chuckled softly as she looked at me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you," She said to me as I started driving, when we got to the club, she went to the front of the line as I followed her behind.

"Hey, Mikey? Feeling good tonight?" She greeted the doorman who smiled at her as he looked at me.

"Yes. What's good? Long time since you came through." He said to her as he removed the ribbon for us to walk inside.

"I know, I have been really busy so that. So that's why. I hope you are good though" she said to him as we entered, we walked through the crowds as we walked inside trying to push ourselves inside.

We found some space on the dance floor as she made me jam to cold water by Major Lazer. She sang to me as I danced while letting the adrenaline rush flow in my body.

After dancing our hearts out, I offered that we get drinks. "Go get some, I will join you" she whispered to me as I made my way out of the crowd pushing through the people that were dancing.

"Please can I have two martinis" I shouted to the bartender as he nodded his head, I started nodding my head to the music that was playing.

I wanted to turn around to look for Lydia when I bumped into someone spilling alcohol on his clothes. "Oh my god!" I gasped trying to fix whatever it was I was fixing and he blankly looked at me.

'I am so sorry" I quickly apologized to him as he grabbed my hands looking into my eyes, his face looked familiar

"Get your hands off me" He calmly said placing the glass on the counter while holding my hand with his left hand.

"Be careful" He whispered to me as his phone rang, he grabbed the phone from his pocket and looked at the caller, and he pushed me aside and then made his way out. I stood there shocked thinking he couldn't be here.

"Hey, Babe! I am having so much fun" she bubbled as she came to stand next to me. "What's wrong?" She questioned me after she noticed how fazed I was.

'Well, I just saw someone who looks like Liam Anderson and I am not sure if it's him or not" I said to her as she widened her eyes,

'The Liam Anderson?" She was puzzled as I nodded my head, she knew how much I followed his success story as she looked around.

'Where's he? Maybe I can confirm if it's him" she inquired sounding very optimistic as I showed her the way out in the direction he went.

"Well, finish your martini, we need to find him," she said gulping down everything as she gave me my glass.

"No! I don't think it's him. Can we just continue with our drinks?" I questioned her and she nodded her head drinking all the contents of the drink that she had in her hands. I sighed heavily as I looked at the crowd.

"Hey! Can we have shots of tequila as well?" she shouted to the bartender who brought the shots of alcohol for us as I smiled at her.

'Bottoms up!" She said handing me the glass, I took the lime, and immediately after I gulped down the tequila I squeezed the lime in my mouth I looked at her laughing as we went for another round.

"Yes!" We exclaimed after we started going for more shots.

After spending the night drinking, the next morning when I woke up I decided I would pack up first thing in the morning.

I cleaned the house despite having a terrible hangover because I was getting ready to leave the next day.

My phone vibrated and I took it out of my pocket. Mum. Face time?  really?  This time?

"Hi Mum,"  I said after accepting the call as she smiled vividly. "Hello?  So I spent some time looking at flights and guess what?  I found..."  She excitedly said as I blankly looked there.

"Were you crying?"  she questioned me as I lowered my gaze.

'No. I was out partying last night" I lied to her knowing she would just say I told you so if I told her what happened with Ricardo.

"Really?  I don't believe you not even one bit. What did that boy do to you?"  She insisted as i  closed my eyes briefly, I was not in the mood to argue with her.

"He didn't do anything, and please don't call him."  I maintained as she shrugged her shoulders.

"Fine. back to the flights, I was thinking to send me a copy of your passport I book your flight"  She said with a grin on her face as I shook my head.

"Don't worry. I already booked a flight for tomorrow"  I said to her showing her the tickets that just arrived this morning"

"Yes!"  She shrieked as I furrowed my eyebrows.

"No need to get excited. I might not come"  I teased her but she was still smiling.

"I know you cant do that. Let me tell Maria to get your room ready."  She said to me as I smiled vividly. Did she really miss me that much?

"Mum... I need to go, I have lots of things to catch up on before I leave"  I said to her looking at the house.

'Great! See you tomorrow"  She said excitedly.

"Bye mum,"  I said monotone as I cut the call.

I took a deep breath thinking about what I was going to be expecting once I am home.
