CHAPTER 3: Sudden Invite

Alphas POV

“Going home already?”

I turned and saw that one person I never expected to see.

“Kai...!” the only thing I could react.

The only thing I want is to go home and stay away from him as much as possible. But he is calling me, intentionally.

He somehow noticed my uneasiness that he laughed. “You looked surprise. I guess you weren’t expecting me. I was just done with club.”

No one asked though.

“You joined one huh...”

I spoke back

“Yeah... Dance club.”

So it was true. He was actually a dancer. Never thought he could dance.

“Kai!”

Another person called out his attention.

We both looked on the direction of the voice and saw three boys coming our way. But they flinched as soon as they noticed me.

“Alpha!” they almost spoke in unison.

I smirked. “Hey....”

“We were just going home with Kai.” one boy spoke. Guess his name was, Troy or something. I couldnt care less.

“Why tell me?” I asked 

“Well...”

I sighed. “No worries boys. As long as you keep your noses out of my way your fine.”

Im in no mood to fool especially when Im with someone threatening.

Wait, me? Threatened by Kai?

Heck no way.

“Yeah, so let’s go home together Kai...”

One guy spoke.

I looked at Kai hoping that he somehow go with them but,

“Umm I’m sorry but, I’ll be going with Alpha...”

I froze.

“You want to go home with her?” one boy asked probably to be sure.

Cause actually, I don’t even know if I heard him right too.

“Yeah...”

I couldn’t speak. The last thing I know is that they were already walking from us, leaving me and Kai.

“So, you are still the same....” he spoke.

I flinched.

“The same bully girl back in elementary...” he continued. The bad feeling came again.

“That was me before. I have changed.”

“Is that so?”

I looked at him getting pissed off with his tone.

“Does it bother you?”

But he just smiled at me, like the smile he did when I first meet him in the hallways.

Then he turned his look away.

“Want to grab dinner with me? It would be nice though. It’s been years since I last saw you. Don’t worry it’s my treat.”

"Sorry but I'll pass." I spoke back and walked away.

"Actually you dont have a choice." He spoke back.

I looked at him. 

Cocky little bastard!

And he only smiled. He knows Im getting pissed. He just knows. He knows too well. 

"I know your game... Or maybe, youre just scared of me now. How nostalgic." 

He spoke.

Stupid little...

" Fine. I'll go. But watch your mouth Kai. Remember who youre talking to."

As they were both walking in the hallways, Kai couldnt get relax at all. But he has to endure. He has to.
