Chapter 7

I couldn't count how many times I called Christina but she didn't pick up. I even sent her text messages without any single reply from her. I would become crazily violent if she won't answer any time soon. I now regretted that I discontinued hiring Alma because I expected that I would always be with Christina. When I was in Australia I had no choice but to pay someone to watch over her. Even if Alma was a female, I didn't feel really comfortable knowing that someone was watching my ex. I sighed and raked my fingers through my hair. I would find her myself. I headed to the door when it suddenly opened. I frowned heavily when I saw what she was wearing.

(Christina)

I only threw Trevor a glance then murmured a quiet hello. Before I seated myself at my desk, I saw that he was wearing his glasses. Maybe he didn't have them on when Lolla was with him because it would be uncomfortable for them if they kissed. I scolded myself for having such thoughts and tried to guard my expression as I felt pain in my chest from jealousy. I turned my laptop on and tried hard to ignore his presence. My cunning ex was difficult not to take a notice of because everything about him made my senses sensitive or any other females' for that matter. But had faith in myself that I would be able to act like I was alone. Anyway I managed to not take his any of his calls nor reply to his messages.

"Where the hell have you been and why are you wearing that piece of trash?!" he rasped.

Wow! You sound like my husband! -I wanted to throw to his face but I didn't.

I stayed calm as Alice advised me. I didn't eve raise my eyes to look at him.

My friend chose a slinky blue dress with thin shoulder straps for me. It emphasized my creamy and smooth skin. It was sexy but still appropriate to wear in the office since it went below my knees. It hugged my body like a glove but I was wearing a cardigan over it. And besides, maybe Trevor didn't notice that two of our male employees were gay and the other one didn't seem to care for anything but work. His eyes were always glued to the monitor of his computer. I wouldn't dare wear something like this however hard Alice convinced me if I knew the male staff were perverts like Trevor. She also said I should seduce my ex not only with my appearance but with my scent so I sprayed on Channel number 5.

From my peripheral vision, I saw that he was just a few meters away from my table. I finally raised my eyes to look at him. I wasn't surprise that he was glaring at me. My eyes went back to the screen.

"I went out for coffee and I accidentally spilled some on my clothes so I had to buy a new dress, " I lied as I tapped away at the keyboard.

I heard him cursed.

"Who were you with?! " he asked in a very cold voice.

I could sense his anger through his voice.

"Can we just work Mr. Samaniego? I need to reply to some emails. Some of our regular customers are asking about the possible changes in the management. Besides, your questions are not even related to work." I stood up to go to his desk.

I walked slowly and sexily.

"Can I borrow your pen?" I asked huskily as I leaned forward to his desk to reach for his pen.

I wanted him to have a clear view of the shape of my body especially my bottom. My breasts were not as big as Lolla's but I have an almost perfectly shaped butt. I also made sure that he could smell my perfume. When I straightened, I sensed that he stiffened. Maybe his nostrils were filled with my wonderful scent. I moved a little closer to him without being too obvious.

"F*ck, Christina!" I heard him murmur.

When he was about to touch me I hurriedly went back to my table with my hips swaying sexily.

While my back was on him I said, "I will wear what I like and I will go out with whom I want. We only have a business relationship which I hope you haven't forgotten."

I could hear his ragged breathing before he uttered a bad word. I wasn't sure if he was breathing heavily because he was angry or it was because my seduction scheme was working or it could be both.

"Do you really want to see the beast in me?" he asked in a steely voice.

I slowly turned to look at him. He hasn't moved from his place but he really looked ready to explode from anger. His face was slightly red and he had his hands clenched on his sides.

I jutted my chin. "I don't know what your problem is but I am not interested to know. Must I remind you over and over again that we are only business..."

I wasn't able to finish when we heard knocks and the door opened. Irma's face peeked from behind the door.

"What is it, Miss Monasterio?!" Trevor asked with a clipped tone.

Irma's smile disappeared when she saw Trevor's dark aura. Her expression became formal like.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you sir," she then looked at me.

"Yes Irma?" I asked in a friendly tone to compensate for my ex's rude behavior.

He was already acting like a sorehead though it was just his first day at work.

"Miss Chrissy, Sir Robbie is outside," the secretary informed me.

Before I was able to reply, like a flash, he walked angrily to the door.

"Trevor!" I called him in a shrill voice.
