Elora only had a week before they returned to Gibbston. Caspian will host the annual gathering of the werewolves, so he had to be home at least the day before the event. Caspian offered to come back here after the event was over, but Elora didn’t want to bother him any further.

“You must be here for at least a year,” said Arapeta, as Caspian and Elora speak of their plans. Arapeta was feeding his chickens beside the house when Caspian and Elora came to him. The smell of chicken manure, soil, and fresh grass all rolled into one, assailed Elora’s nose as soon as she arrived.

“We only have one week. It’s also impossible for Elora to be here that long. She has to work,” Caspian offered.

Arapeta glanced at them without a trace of emotion showing on his face. “You’re asking me to help her within a week?”

“Just so Elora can control her transformation. I will help her with the rest.”
