Chapter 29

From Alassandra's POV

"NO!" my father yelled, an expression of concern filling his voice. After lowering my hands to my side, I stared at him for a brief period of time before I spoke to him.

"I don't understand. What is the problem? I was under the impression that you wanted what I had taken from you." I said with mockery.

"It is true that you have stolen what is ours. However, it is not our intention to fight with you," my father replied.

"Oh, really, you could have fucken fooled us?" Ikaris growled as he stepped toward me.

"Stay out of this wolf!" echoed my mother's response as she stepped towards my father and gripped his forearm in an act of protection. "Not here," she said, pulling my father back.

My head tilted to the side, and my eyes narrowed for a moment as I squinted before taking a step forward, only to hear both of my parents gasp in horror and step back in surprise. The only expression on their faces was one of fear.
