Chapter 30

From Alassandra's POV

My thoughts ran rampant; as a result, I found it very difficult to focus on anything that was being discussed at the time. About halfway through the meeting, I decided I had had enough. Standing to my feet, I hastily walked out of the office and out of the building.

Having a clear mind was what I needed at that moment. The most effective way I knew how to do it was to head out for a run. Rushing to my room, I quickly changed into some gym clothes, grabbed my headphones, and rushed out.

This time, I opted to stay away from the woods. It was a constant source of anxiety for me to know that my parents were out there and could be lurking around every corner. As I exited my dorm building, I looked around, trying to determine in what direction I should run. After a few short moments, I decided to take the main street that led to the main gate and choose from there.
