Chapter 31

From Ikairs' POV

The moment I heard Alassandra's voice echo through the mind link, I saw red. Rushing out the door, I didn't even bother to say anything to Argos, Yadhira, or Lillian. As I ran out of the building, I heard Argos' voice through the mind-link.

"Why did you rush out in the middle of the meeting?" Argos asked.

"Alassandra's in trouble!" was all I could say.

A few moments later, I saw Argos running toward me.

"Where is she?" Argos asked.

The moment those words left his mouth, we were stopped in our tracks by the sight before us. I watched helplessly as Moriah carried Alassandra away. The howlings of Phosphorus reverberated in my head loud and clear. The fact that we couldn't do anything to stop Moriah made it more sinister. After coming to a complete halt, I let out a loud growl of frustration.

"Impossible," I heard Argos whisper beside me as he was in shock.

"What the fuuuccck?" I growled as I ran my hand down my face. "Argos, what is she? Tell me what Moriah is?" I said a
