Chapter 54: Jack's Jazz...Wrong Reason; Right One

Jack sit in the lounge looking at the sea. His thoughts were very troubled. He kept watching his phone waiting for a very specific call. Occasionally he looks at his ring. He has been here a couple of days and he only received two calls from Jazz but he didn’t answer.

“Here you go sir.” The waiter placed the glass of brandy beside him.

“I didn’t order anything.”

“It’s for the lady sitting at the bar, sir.”

Jack turned to look at the woman. He instantly recognized her as a lady of the night. He clearly recalls that’s the way he met Carly King. The hair healthy, the gown expensive. Finally, he looked into her very expressive eyes. The invitation was clear.

“Do you accept, sir?”

“No thanks,” Jack handed him his card telling the waiter to pay her bill. He looked across the sea again. His heart realized the soft wings of love had caught him unaware. He looked at his ring again, feeling apart he and Jazz were like missing puzzle pieces, constantly missing the other.
