Chapter 3 Duke and Helen

Duke pov

We stand watching Kat and Helen hug before Kat eases back.

"you should be in bed mama",she sniffles and wipes her face.

"no I need to be here with you, Helen was determined to fix things, I wasn't always there for you but I will be now. I'm staying here honey",I watched my mate hug and kiss her daughter and wipe tears away.

"beta,I hear in the mind link, more rogues showed up",I hold in a growl and turn to face the warriors standing around.

"we got more at the border, I mouth rogues, I need some to go there and a few stay here with our Luna and beta female",they rush off and I turn to watch my mate. I had doc bring her pain pills and make sure our newborn pups were okay.

"Sean, I hear Kat say softly, can you check on the pups for me",she was sitting in her mate's room way to quiet. Jonathan was alive but the poison was fucking with him and the antidote was barely working.

"Kat, I touch her arm, you need to eat. You both do I'm ordering food and I want you and your mom to eat
