CHAPTER 15

While they were on their ride to the company, Natasha kept looking at Clyde whose reflection she could see in the rearview mirror. She knew that her face was already red because of how she stared at his handsome face. She wasn’t really thinking as she put a few strands of her hair behind her ear even when there weren’t really any strands that were all over her face. As she did that, she couldn’t help but smile, acting cute.

She was even surprised when Kyle, whose forehead was creased, blocked her view, and a few seconds after, he saw her annoying smile once more.

"I knew it," he said softly before sitting properly and looking at his brother who was in the front seat as well.

She followed his gaze and saw that he looked really amused. She fixed her countenance, and just looked outside the window of the car, feeling slightly ashamed. She didn’t hear a single word from the guy again until they reached the office.

She was quick to get off the car as she only had ten minutes left from the given time that Zara told her. The driver put the clothes on the back of the car so she quickly grabbed them, and mirrored what she did back in the twins’ house. She grabbed them without looking at the twins again, hugging them against her chest as she walked to the entrance of the building.

"Hey! Miss Policarpio!" She heard one of them call her, but she didn’t look back and just continued walking, focusing on not dropping the clothes now.

She quickly pushed the button of the elevator even before it closed. She even swallowed upon seeing that Zara was inside it, and it seemed like the girl just arrived, and was already about to go up the floor.

"Oh my God!" Her voice was loud, it was almost like a scream when she looked at the clothes that she was holding in her arms.

Her eyes even widened when she saw a dress that dropped on her foot. She was inside the elevator already and was about to pick up the dress that she dropped when all of a sudden, every single thing that she was holding on her arms fell down as well.

“What's with you, Miss Policarpio?!" Her voice hurt in her ears as it was very high.

She even almost covered her ears because of how screechy the girl’s voice was as she shouted her name. Her eyes looked at the elevator door when it opened. They still hadn’t moved up yet as no one still pressed any floor button.

She went down once more to pick up the clothes that were already on the floor when she saw Clyde and Kyle walking in their direction.

"Look at your mess!" Her voice was still annoyed by her.

She chose not to mind it because she was feeling ashamed that she was being scolded in front of Clyde himself.

"Good Morning, Zara! It’s still very early, and you’re no longer in the mood.” She heard the playfulness in Kyle’s voice as he said that.

She even looked at him when he helped her pick the clothes up.

She quickly stopped the hand of the guy.

"Let me," she said to him.

"No, it's fine. You really didn’t wait for us,” he told her before continuing to pick the clothes up.

She saw that Clyde helped as well without saying any word.

Shit! It was still her first day and all of her bosses were already in the same elevator as her while she, on the other hand, was making such a mess. She wouldn’t even be surprised if that would even be her last day there.

"Oh, please... Put it back. Let her handle her own mess. Why did you just pick a random person to be my assistant, Kyle? It is supposed to be me who should pick,” Zara said, annoyed, and even glared at her when she stood. She chose not to say anything.

"Zara, don't ruin your beautiful face and just smile, okay?" Kyle even winked at the girl after saying that.

The expression on the girl’s face quickly changed as she gave him a sweet smile. She even held him by the arm.

"You are always my stress reliever, Kyle,” she said in a soft voice,

Clyde just shook his head as there was already a small smile on his face as he looked at the both of them. Natasha, on the other hand, felt the rushing of her blood towards her cheeks upon seeing that her two bosses were already holding the clothes that were really just her responsibility.

When the door opened, Clyde went out first, followed by Kyle, Zara was still clinging around his arm. Kyle looked back at her.

"Where should we put these?" he asked, looking down at the clothes that he was holding in his arms.

"Ahmmm..."

Even before she got to answer, Zara already talked.

"Just give it to her, it is her job," the girl said, her voice already filled with annoyance once more.

"I'll go ahead as I still need to go to Arnel. We’ll be having lunch together later, Kyle, okay?” Her voice was gentle once more before he pinched Kyle’s cheek and started walking away from them.

Kyle didn’t mind Zara and just continued staring at her, waiting for an answer. She immediately walked towards him to get the clothes that he was carrying.

"Let me. Thank you so much, Sir," she quickly said before getting everything that he was holding.

The guy wasn’t able to do anything as she was quick to get the clothes from him. She walked in the direction of Clyde after. Their eyes then met.

Shit! I feel like passing out!

"No, I will help you with these, Miss Policarpio. You cannot carry everything at once. I guess, these should be in the studio since the pictorials will be held there,” he said as he continued staring at her eyes.

Natasha just continued standing in front of the guy, couldn’t help but look at his face intently. She was even staring at the way his mouth opened and closed as he talked. She was just surprised when there was already a handkerchief against her mouth.

She looked at the person who did that and saw the teasing look of Kyle who leaned closer towards her face to whisper to her ear.

"I think you're drooling," he only whispered that, allowing Natasha to feel his breathing and the sensation of his lips against her skin.

She was about to touch her mouth to see if she was really drooling just as he said, but she couldn’t do so because of the clothes that she was holding. She saw that the guy quickly laughed because of her reaction. She gave her a sullen gaze as it looked like he was teasing her again.

"Are you done flirting with Miss Policarpio, Kyle?" Clyde’s voice seemed bored as he stared at both of them.

Flirting?! Goodness!

Kyle only chortled a laugh before tapping Clyde on the shoulder.

"You’re very easily jealous, bro,” the guy said before walking ahead without saying anything.

She blinked consecutive times before following the guy’s back using her eyes.

"Don't mind my brother, Miss Policarpio. He is not the serious type. Please don't ever fall for his charms," he warned her, and she could even see how serious he looked as he said that.

"Oh no! I will never cheat on you," she immediately said, looking at the guy.

"What?" he asked, confused.

"I m-mean... I w-will never cheat on my b-boyfriend," she corrected herself.

The guy suddenly smiled a little.

Shit! He looked really handsome when he smiled!

"So, you already have a boyfriend. That's good," he said, smiling.

Wait! Maybe he would no longer give her attention because she just said that she already had a boyfriend. Maybe she should’ve told him that she was really single and ready to mingle instead so that he wouldn’t hesitate to ask her out.

He was about to turn to walk ahead first when she stopped him.

"B-but... I’ll be breaking up with my boyfriend!" she said quickly.

He looked back at her, confusion plastered across his face once more.

"Oh, you're not going to do it because of my brother, right?" he asked, worried.

"Uh, no, Sir. Your brother’s not my type,” she said in a firm manner.

‘You’re my type, Clyde!’ She wanted to shout.

The creased forehead on his face was slowly replaced with a smile on his lips.

"I just wish Kyle was here when you said that," he said, chuckling before starting walking ahead of her.

She followed the guy as well without thinking much.

What was funny about what she said?
