CHAPTER 21

When she entered the conference room, she saw some folders in front of the long table there. The woman she saw outside gave her instructions earlier. She ignored her, occasionally covering her nose while looking at her badly. She kept sneezing in front of her.

She pretended not to notice the woman's reaction even though she knew that the cologne with the ritual is the source of the nasty smell. She looked like she was catching her breath while talking. She left after she told her everything that she needed to do. She caught a glimpse of her quickly entering the restroom.

"Such a nitpicky," she whispered.

She touched her neck and then sniffed her hand. She suddenly moved her hand away because of the intensity of the smell. She will just avoid getting close to anyone. That strange smell was really just for Clyde anyway and she was sure that it wouldn't stay on her skin for so long once she said the ritual.

She placed the folders one by one on the long table and then placed a bottle of water next to the folders. Eventually, the door opened and she immediately saw what she thought were company executives. They talk as they enter. Her eyes immediately searched for Clyde but he wasn't there yet.

She went to the back so that the people inside wouldn't be able to smell her. She just stood there straight with her eyes glued to the door. The four were already sitting inside when the door opened again and Mrs. Del Espania, the grandmother of the twins entered the room. Next to her was Clyde. She automatically smiled as she stared at the handsome face of the man. As usual, he combed his hair so well that she knew it had gel so it wouldn't get messy. Suddenly, she looked at the man behind them and he closed the door with none other than Kyle. He also looked at her and immediately, his eyes went to her slacks then smiled as if he was just trying to stop himself from laughing.

She quickly touched her slacks' garter when she suddenly remembered what happened earlier. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at it even though she knew that both her cheeks were starting to blush with shame.

Kyle didn't look at her anymore as he sat down. Mrs. Del Espania sat in the center of the table while Clyde and Kyle were both on her side.

"Good Morning everyone! We have this emergency meeting because I believe you all also heard about this Dashing Ash Agency, right? It is a start-up modeling and advertising agency but it seems like it is making a buzz now," Mrs. Del Espania started

She saw the people there nod. Some even murmured as they talked. She just stood in the back while not taking her eyes off Clyde. She pleasured her eyes on the face of the man who was listening intently to his grandmother.

Eventually, there were slides displayed on the front so she also looked at them. She frowned when she saw a large building named "Dashing Ash". It also has huge buildings just as the large "Dynasty Agency" building and the building is obviously new.

Everyone was silent as they watched the company building on display. Suddenly a face of a very beautiful woman who was estimated to be in her mid-forties took over.

"This is Reina Grande. She is the sole owner of Dashing Ash Agency. She started the business early last year with the help of her late husband, a rich businessman in Italy. She also designs some of her model's dresses. She is planning to have her own fashion magazine. So, in short, she is my rival and we won't let her company replace us at the top spot," she said seriously.

She stared at the woman's beautiful face for a long time. Even at this age, it is undeniably unique in its beauty.

"So, I want you to think of unique ways to ensure our spot in the limelight. I don't want us to be overtaken by a beginner in this industry," the voice of their old boss was intimidating.

She heard Clyde making a suggestion. Her attention turned to the man again. She is really proud of him. She caught a glimpse of Kyle who was purely playing with the ballpen he was holding because of the boredom at that meeting.

She saw him slowly standing up while everyone was busy giving their respective suggestions. She just saw him approaching her. She immediately moved from her position because he might come too close and he could smell her. He was still curious about what she just did as he took the cup behind her and took coffee out of the coffee maker.

"Coffee?" he offered before he moved the cup to his mouth.

She just shook her head as she slowly stepped to the side of the window to get further away from him. He frowned even more as he looked at her. She just leaned back there and faced the people who were still busy talking.

She stood up straight again when she saw Clyde standing up.

He's getting closer to them too.

When he got closer, he nodded at her and smiled slightly as he took a cup to get coffee.

"Are you bored too, bro?" Kyle asked him while smiling.

Clyde looked at his twin then smiled completely.

"Actually, it's the opposite. I'll take this as a challenge," he replied then stood next to Kyle.

She could not move from the side of the window. It was her chance to make Clyde smell her perfume and recite the ritual. She didn't even think twice and she suddenly stepped beside Clyde and pretended to peek at the cup he was holding just to get him close to her neck with the cologne.

The two were surprised by what she did, especially since she let her neck get close to his nose for a long time.

Shit! What was the ritual again?

She closed her eyes and was trying to remember the enchantment.

"Cum...Cummm.." she whispered even though she knew that the two were listening to her.

Cum baby, come, baby, baby come?

Oh my! What was that spell again?!

"Cum... endless.." she shooked her head while maintaining her eyes closed

Lord! Why am I so dumb at memorizing?!

"Miss Policarpio?" Clyde asked, moving slightly away because she still didn't move her neck in front of him.

Only then did she open her eyes. She saw the astonished faces of the two. She was embarrassed to walk away from Clyde as well.

Mission Failed!

"I-I'm just looking to see if your cup is still full ... S-so I can refill it," she smiled hesitantly at Clyde as she explained.

She saw Kyle suddenly laughed softly but he just brought the cup to his mouth to hide his laughter.

She almost cursed herself because even with the simple first step, she still was not able to do it properly.

When Kyle finished his coffee, he spoke to her, trying to suppress his smile.

"By the way, Tash, please call the utility staff after the meeting, just in case there's a dead rat or maybe smelly garbage that hasn't been taken out," he lost his smile when he told her that.

Clyde turned to Kyle.

"My sinusitis is acting up. I can't even smell a thing," he told Kyle.

Hallelujah!

Her mind seemed to clear up. She thought it would be imprinted in his brain that she was a stinky kind of woman.

"Okay," she only answered before the two returned to the table.

Kyle first took the juice that was in the can inside the mini refrigerator there. When he got close to the table he gave it to his grandmother.

One by one, those in the meeting stood up when Mrs. Del Espania ended it. When no one else was inside, she softened her appearance as she talked to her grandchildren. She's different when they're not talking about work.

"By the way, grandma, meet Miss Natasha Policarpio. She is Zara's new assistant," Kyle introduced her to his grandmother.

She smiled shyly at the old woman when she looked at her.

"Come here, Tash," Kyle waved one of his hands to get her closer.

Hesitantly, she walked closer to them who were still sitting.

Mrs. Del Espania might smell me!

"Nice to know you, Natasha. Don't be too scared of Zara's threats too much, okay? I don't want her to change her assistant again," she said jokingly, holding out her hand to her.

She also reluctantly reached out her hand to her and did not let herself get too close to the three.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Del Espania," she replied.

She knew that she didn't recognize her, as much as the two didn't recognize her. Who can remember a provincial granddaughter of a soothsayer? There was nothing extraordinary on her face.

She immediately stopped shaking hands with the woman because the smell of her strange cologne might still stick to her hand.

Clyde ordered her to hand over the documents to the employees in their department before they finally went out of the room.

When she was alone she quickly entered the restroom and carefully sprayed her hands and neck as well as the side of her ear to remove the smell of what she had wiped earlier.

No, Tasyang! There is another way. You should not just give up easily!

Smiling, she stared at her face in the mirror as she talked to herself.
