CHAPTER 2

Natasha quickly walked away the moment Clyde, her dear love, was about to look in her direction. She was ashamed that he'd feel disgusted at the sight of her dirty face. She went to the back of their house before immediately rushing to the bathroom to take a bath once more, and made sure to clean off the traces of cow manure in her face including its nasty smell. Meanwhile, she soaked the handkerchief of the guy in a pool of water filled with soap. She couldn't even stop smiling while she was placing it in a small basin, keeping in mind that she'd take care of it later, and finish it off clean with a fabric conditioner.

She went out of the bathroom the moment she finished. She was still wearing a long dress that fell down to the heels of her feet. She didn't bother combing her long, curly hair because she'd waste more time if she did so.

She gathered herself to go inside the room with her newly-bathed look where her grandmother would entertain customers. She was gentle when she opened the door before peeking inside as she knew that her grandmother would only scold her if she ever went in there while there were customers. The first thing that she saw was the old woman whose back was facing in her direction.

"What should I do to keep the success of my company and business going?" she heard the old woman ask her grandmother who was sitting inside the usual set-up that she used.

In front of her were her small ball of crystal and a deck of cards that were scattered all around the table. Her grandmother stared at the ball of crystal for a period of time before answering the question.

"Don't be worried. I can see that there will be no problem that your company and businesses will face. Just make sure that you won't forget to place fruits in your altar every night alongside gold furniture, curtains, or anything with the color that would meet your eyes first the moment you enter the house," her grandmother answered.

"Thank you so much. I will do everything that you advise. My friend recommended you to me. She said that everything that you say does come true. I will come back here every month. I hope that this will serve its purpose greatly," the old woman was smiling as she said that before handing a thick envelope to her grandmother.

Her grandmother smiled a little before placing the envelope beside her.

"It's time for me to go now as it's still a long way back home. Here, take my calling card. Text me your contact information so that I can call you immediately whenever I am in need of your service." The old woman stood up before handing a small card to her grandmother.

Her grandmother received it before standing. Natasha quickly closed the door, and immediately walked away from there before they'd see her eavesdropping on their conversation. She also decided to go immediately so that she could get a glimpse of Clyde before they parted their ways.

The twins looked at her both at the same time when they left the room. She saw that the two stared at her face before the twin, who seemed to enjoy annoying her, suddenly chortled.

"I see that you've already taken a bath, but it looks as if you haven't heard of combs. Wow! Your hair is so long. Here, that's all yours." He even stared at her messy hair that didn't want to cooperate with her face. He also handed a comb that he took from his pocket.

Her eyes widened as she remembered that it was true she didn't bother combing her hair. She'd even look like a witch whenever she wouldn't tie her hair! He was already in front of her while there was still a huge smile plastered across his face before he handed her the comb.

She immediately gave him a sullen glance and didn't get the comb from him.

The door opened once again, and her grandmother went out together with the grandmother of the twins. Both of them were still talking. She shifted her gaze towards the two old women before walking away from the doorway. She was stunned when the guy grabbed her hand before putting the comb on her palm. She couldn't help but stare at it. She was supposed to give the comb back and give him an attitude, but he had already started walking away from her.

"We'll be heading now. Thank you, once again," said their grandmother to hers.

Her grandmother just smiled a little before nodding. The twins' grandmother called the both of them to tell them to gather themselves as they would be leaving already. Natasha took a glimpse at her crush, completely forgetting the comb that was still resting at her grip.

He didn't bother looking back at her, and of a sudden, his twin brother jumped in front of her, blocking her view of Clyde. The other had a huge smile on his face as he stared at her. He seemed to enjoy annoying her.

"Don't worry, I will make sure my twin will remember you always because I'll make him remember you every single day," he teased.

She just gave him a sullen look in annoyance before she raised her fist as a sign of warning. He just laughed in an utterly annoying manner before walking away from her.

She was trying so hard to get a glimpse at Clyde once more, stretching her neck like a giraffe, before the guy went inside the car. The annoyance that was plastered across her face immediately went away the moment she was able to stare at his side angle once more as he was waiting to get inside the car.

Her grandmother and she followed the car using their eyes before it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

"Grandma, I think I'm in love!" she said in a dreamy manner as she continued staring at the horizon, the car nowhere in sight.

She jumped in surprise when she felt her grandmother pinch her side.

"Ouch!" she winced before rubbing her side gently as she stepped away from the old woman.

"You better get yourself together! You're still too young, for God's sake. Only when you're finally done with your schooling should you tell me that, and I'll support you to the best of my abilities," she said with a stern look on her face.

Even when she was still feeling the pain of her pinch on her side, she still couldn't help but plaster a smile upon hearing what she said. "Really, Grandma? Oh my God! I'm very sure that I'll be Mrs. Del Espania in the future. Thank you, Grandma. I promise I'll finish school, and graduate with grace." She hugged her grandmother, tears almost falling down her cheeks in pure bliss.

"Heh! Will you stop it!? You are well aware that what I say to my customers is made-up nonsense. What I meant by that is if you really need to entrap that guy that you like, I'll support you and help you think about ways to do so." She even spanked her arm lightly.

She didn't stop hugging the old woman even after that as she believed in the capabilities of her grandmother, thinking that she'd be successful in bewitching anyone with the help of the rituals and spells of the old woman. She witnessed those circumstances wherein girls would go back with the men that they only enchanted with love potions. She knew that her grandmother had a book solely for this kind of matter.

Her eyes were closed and she was smiling as she was imagining the face of the guy that she adored. However, like what usually happened, the annoying face of the other twin came into mind, ruining her perfect imagination.

She immediately let go of her embrace before immediately slapping her cheeks repeatedly to push the memory of that guy off her mind. Even in her imagination, he couldn't leave her alone!

Her grandmother was staring at her with curiosity plastered across her face. That was why she was left with no choice but to stop and smile at her instead.

"Ahm, I just remembered someone annoying," she explained shortly.
