CHAPTER 6

She was finally able to graduate with her degree in Education. Her grandmother wanted her to review so she could finally be an educator, but Natasha didn’t really have plans on teaching. What she wanted to do was to apply for work just so she could save up some money that would take her to Manila, closer to Clyde. After all those years, after everything that had happened, she still hadn’t let go of her dream of becoming Mrs. del Espania even when she hadn’t really seen the guy again.

Meanwhile, the twins’ grandmother rarely went back there as the old woman became even busier because of the ever-growing success of their modeling agency that was popularly known as Dynasty Agency.

She would see her on the television a lot of times, including Clyde, which was the reason why her feelings towards the guy never really went away. She also found out the career of his twin brother, Kyle, has been a growing success. She wasn’t able to go to the concert of his band as she gave the ticket that she won to her friend, Shirley. It was because she couldn’t just leave her grandmother behind, especially when the old woman was not feeling well that day. She still couldn’t help but feel a little sad and regretful that she wasn’t able to attend the concert because she would admit, she really did want to come as even when the twins dressed in a different manner, they still looked the same, and it was like looking at Kyle, she was also seeing Clyde. Moreover, she was also hoping that the latter would be there to support the concert of his twin.

Her smile was wide as she flipped the pages of a magazine containing various pictures of Clyde. His family owned that magazine company. That was why it was no longer a surprise if the weekly issues contained a lot of his pictures.

The love of her life was undeniably handsome! He could even be mistaken as one of the models in his family’s company.

When she graduated, her aunt, who was working in the capitol, was quick to offer her some work. There was a small library in the town, and she allowed her to work as a librarian there. She was fit for the job as she would often come there, and had even known almost every single book there was in that library. However, her job wasn’t that tricky and hard, considering that there were barely any people who even went there because of the technological age where people preferred the internet as it was considered to be more convenient.

Now that she thought about it, she was being paid for just staying there. It almost seemed as if she had already read every single book there was to read in that library. The only source of entertainment that she had was collecting various magazines that featured Clyde. Every Sunday, she got to have a new issue as the company released an issue every start of the week.

"Hey!"

She almost jumped from where she was seated because of surprise when out of a sudden, her friend, Shirley, was already in front of her.

"Watch your mouth, Shirley! You know we are in a library so can you lower your loud voice down?” she told her in an adamant tone.

"What’s the point? Eh, you’re the only one here as usual. It’s very boring here. Why don’t you try reviewing so that you could start teaching, and you know, change things?” she said, motioning to the empty library before sitting on the chair beside her.

She didn’t say anything as she fixed her glasses. When her gaze dropped at the magazine once more, she still couldn’t stop herself from smiling, making Shirley look at it as well.

"Ah, he really looks like my crush, Kyle. If only his hair was longer, then he would look utterly like him,” the girl said in what seemed like a dreamy manner.

"Of course they look like each other, they’re twins! I can’t believe you,” she answered, her eyes still fixed on the magazine.

She knew that Kyle’s hair was longer now after seeing him appear on TV, promoting his band’s album.

“It’s always Clyde who is featured in their magazine. Why couldn’t I see Kyle’s pictures anywhere?” Shirley pointed out with a long pout on her face.

"It’s because he isn’t fit to be here. You know how ragged his fashion style is. Have you seen the ripped jeans that he always wears?” she answered her friend.

“Hey, even when that is the case, he still looks really handsome with his fashion preference. That’s really handsome. Clothes don’t determine how good a real handsome guy would look. And how are you able to know that he often wears those clothes? Are you also stalking him?” There was a meaningful look on the girl’s face when she asked that, looking at her with her narrowed eyes.

Her face grimaced before she answered.

“Dream on! We also have a TV, you know. Of course, I can see him together with his band whenever they have guestings,” she defended herself.

"Hmmm..." the girl remarked after she said that.

Natasha closed the magazine as she couldn’t concentrate on her staring game with Clyde’s pictures since the girl was just sitting beside her.

"Why are you even here in the first place? Don’t you have work to attend to?”

Shirley was an accountant in the capitol, and it was an early Monday morning. That was why she couldn’t help but ask the reason her friend was there, especially when the only time that she would usually be there was only on Saturdays as she didn’t have work to do during that time. The library also closed on Sundays so sometimes, she would be the one who would visit her friend’s house.

"I filed an absence today because my mom and I have an important thing to attend to later. I stopped by here because I have a surprise for you,” she said with a mysterious smile plastered right across her face.

Natasha couldn’t help but feel intrigued as she stared at her friend, trying to think what her surprise could be about.

"Do you have a boyfriend already?" she guessed.

"Of course, no! It might even be you who could possibly have your own boyfriend if you pursue going there.” The mysterious tone in her voice even made Natasha even more curious.

However, upon realization, the excitement that she was feeling was short-lived as she poured her attention back to the magazine that was already closed.

"You know what, I wouldn’t even be with anyone unless it’s Clyde,” she said even when no one really bothered courting her in the first place. When one ought to think about it, no one really dared to ask her hand for a date, even from someone accidentally blown by the wind.

"What if I tell you that my surprise is connected with your dear Clyde?"

She looked back at her with a hint of excitement in her eyes.

The girl reached out for something from her bag. She saw that it was a newspaper which the girl happily handed her. Her smile faded as she looked at the newspaper that she just handed her.

"What would I do with this?” she said with a dismayed tone in her voice.

"Well, read it!" Shirley said, annoyance evident in her voice, but her smile was still there as she glared at her. She grabbed hold of it with a long sigh before reading the front page of the paper. Her eyes widened when she read what was written in there.

"You see? I know you’ll be happy about it.” The girl was still looking at her with amusement in her countenance.

"Really? Is this real? Oh my God! Destiny is really making a move to get the both of us closest to each other. Clyde, my love!” She wanted to scream because of the excitement that she was feeling in her chest.

What the newspaper said was that there would be a job fair next Monday, and that job fair was for the Dynasty Agency. It would be held in the massive building of the company where most of the photoshoots for the magazine were held. Of course, their models would be there. She couldn’t imagine how exciting the experience would be.

The most important part was that there was a high chance that she could see the love of her life, Clyde, as he was the one who was already managing the company.

"Ehhhhhhh!" She stood before jumping in glee, the newspaper held carefully in her arms.

Her friend was shocked upon seeing what she was doing.

"What are you even doing? You’ll be kicked out here. You’re the librarian, and yet, the noise comes from you alone,” she scolded her.

"I’ll be resigning here and now, Shirley. Just wait, and I’ll call my aunt to tell her so that she can find someone who could replace me next Monday.” Her happiness seemed unstoppable as she rummaged through her bag.

"What... Hey! You aren’t even sure that they’ll hire you. And they’re a modeling agency, right? Maybe they’re hiring more models?” Worry was evident in her friend’s voice, seeing her getting excited over something that was very uncertain.

She froze for a brief second before staring at her friend.

She’s right. What if the company was only hiring models?

Natasha thought about it for a few seconds before shaking his head, pushing the doubt off her mind.

"It wasn’t mentioned that it was only for the models, right? I wouldn’t let go of this chance. I know, deep inside my heart, that this is finally it. I know that I am destined to be Mrs. del Espania,” she said confidently.

She saw how a grimace formed in the girl’s face after she said that. "You know what, Syang, sometimes I have no idea where you get that courage from. Maybe your grandma prays for you as well?” The girl had already been used to calling her “Syang” as her nickname came from her real nickname which was “Tasyang”.

She didn’t answer her before she reached out for her bag to search for her phone so that she could call her aunt. Words couldn’t even explain the happiness that she was feeling right at that very moment.

She would finally be closer to the guy that she loves.
