AARON By this time, I was already exhausted from all the paperwork I had to complete for the elite group, and by the time I was done for the day, I immediately rushed out of the training building and went directly to the packhouse. I wanted to see Janna and I was hoping everyone had retired to bed already, so no one would see me if I went directly to her room. The packhouse was already quiet when I came in, but then Ark started to feel agitated that my first thought was Janna. With hurried steps, I went for the stairs and found Janna holding onto the wall. AARON Janna's hand was tightly clasped against mine while it rested on her thigh as we drove out of the territory towards the city. Beta Dominic was in a car behind us. And, as much as the Beta insisted on riding in the same car as me and Janna, the Alpha put his foot down and told the Beta that if he didn't follow his rules, he could forget having lunch with Janna. Well, Alpha Jake just slipped back onto my list of good people. AARON It was already hard enough watching Janna eat lunch with Beta Dominic, and it was even more irritating having to stay nice with the waitress, who was obviously flirting with me.
