Chapter Eighteen

It was already after seven, but Hayden was not yet back for the dinner we had at seven thirty p.m. I decided to eat a little bit because I was getting hungry.

So I grabbed two large pieces of cake, then some sweet wine, and grabbed my phone to text Hayden.

"Still working?"

He saw the message in two minutes but did not answer.

"Is my stylist coming over?" I asked again, and he saw this one too, but there was no reply.

I dropped the phone and concentrated on stuffing my face and watching the movie I turned on. I was still in my third bite when the door opened, and then he came in looking tired. I stood up and kissed him.

"How was your day?" He asked.

"Amazing, we went shopping, so we brought everything needed for school and at home. How was yours?"

"It was a day, just like others." He answered.

"What kind of answer is that, and how come you did not answer my texts when I texted you?"

"I was close to home, and I was too tired to start typing. Do you want me to message Crystal?"
