Chapter Twenty-One

"Mommy, why are you hissing?" Lily asked me, and I got pulled back to reality.

"Nothing, baby; I just saw something I did not like. Now come, let's go eat," I said and extended my hand for her to take, but instead,

She jumped and said, "The last person to the table is the loser."

Elijah started running and passed her, then she ran after him.

"Be careful, you are going to fall," I screamed, but my phone started ringing.

I looked at my screen and it was Hayden. I declined it, put it on silent, and concentrated back on my children. I chased them to the dining room, and they were already sitting down on the dining chair.

"Mom, you were last this time," Lily screamed.

"Yes, I was. Now be nice to me," I replied.

"Okay, mommy," she replied.

I dished them some turkey sandwiches and orange juice, then placed some tomato and spinach on them. The servants made a grilled turkey sandwich, tomato and spinach, rice and chicken sauce, and even many juices. It was a whole lot, and we would not finish
