“What’s going on?” Alpha Matthew asked, his eyes full of surprise.

I showed him the object and he let out a sigh.

“Looks like some kinda meat--“

“It’s just Halloween decorations,” Alpha Matthew said.

“No way, that’s just Halloween decor,” I insisted.

“Mum, I think Dad’s right. Look at it, it’s like Uncle Troy’s goat's legs that he’s gonna cook up,” Violet chimed in.

I exhaled and looked at him. “These past few days have been crazy and not what I expected.”

“Oh really? I think you’re just having a lot of negative thoughts. Come on, there’s nothing to be afraid of. This is the best holiday ever,” Alpha Matthew reassured me.

“Mum’s just being extra, as usual,” Violet quipped.
