Again I was in the conference room at lunchtime, when my colleagues decided to abandon me for a couple of hours to take a lunch break. Slackers.

I heard a light knock at the door and looked up as it opened and Becka appeared with an envelope in her hand.

"Hey," she said cheerfully, "I saw your colleagues going to lunch alone, and I figured you’d be left with nothing, so I thought I’d bring you something," she quickly said.

"My colleagues are slackers," I said, "Anyway, thank you, I’ll eat it later, tell me how much I owe you," I continued, taking my wallet.

"I’ll keep you company!" she said.

I wanted to answer, but my phone started ringing, showing me Maya and Axel’s faces. Becka’s gaze landed on the screen as I picked it up and answered.

"Mon amour," I said cheerfully to hear her voice again.

"Axel has decided he doesn’t like your ties," Maya said in a tired tone.
