Chapter 32; No happy goodbyes

Nina opened her eyes and was greeted by the rising sun. She slowly sat up on her bed. It was a sunny day but she it felt like there were clouds in her room. The door burst open and Mrs. Story walked in.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you?” She asked and sat on her bed “this is the first time you’re waking up this late for work”

Nina looked at the time and hopped out of bed, but she was struck by morning sickness and she made a dash for the bathroom.

“Is everything alright?” Mrs. Story asked. Nina sighed and went and sat on the potty. Mrs. Story went to stand at the bathroom doorway staring at her in concern.

“I’m pregnant mum” she announced.

Mrs. Story stood there not knowing how to react.

“You’re what?”

“I’m pregnant” she said a bit louder.

Mrs. Story panicked, Nina wasn’t in good health she had a lot of health problems and wished she’d take her time after her first miscarriage it was barely 5 months since that incident. But that should even be the least of their worries.
