Chapter 34; first love, first everything

When Nina closed from work she didn’t go home, she drove straight to Cody’s office. She walked haggardly to the elevator and punched in his floor number. Nobody bothered to question her as they knew who she was, though she barely ever showed up at the office. When she got to Cody’s office his secretary got up to stop her from budging into the office.

“Ma’am I have to inform mr. Whyte before you go in”

She stared at her from head to toe, she was a fairly young woman maybe younger than Cody. Her insecurities got the better of her right at that moment.

“Since when did you start working here?” She asked.

“About three months ago” the lady replied.

“Good let me tell you something, you either transfer to another department or I get you fired, understood?” Nina yelled and burst into Cody’s office before the lady could stop her. The door banged shut behind her startling the secretary.
