Chapter 10

Miranda awoke the next day in unfamiliar surroundings. The last thing she remembers is having dinner with Eric, and everything after that is a blur. She has no recollection of it. She walked out of the unknown bedroom, hoping she was at Eric's place rather than a stranger.

She was relieved to discover that she was indeed in Eric’s house.

“You are up.” Eric said, prompting her to turn around.

“Can you tell me what happened last night?” She asked him curiously, “And why is my head hurting so much? It's like having a hangover.”

“I am not sure what you're talking about.” Eric said too quickly, fearful of what might happen next, as Miranda had a calculating look in her eyes where he thought last events would come to her.

“What exactly did you put in the coke?” With a glare, she inquired.

“As I previously stated, I have no idea what you are talking about.” He attempted to avoid the subject.
