SASHA’S POV

I know Xander asked me never to come to his home anymore but I had to visit immediately his mom called and said she missed having me around.

I stood in front of my closet, staring at the array of clothes hanging before me. I needed the perfect outfit.

Something that would make her see me as the perfect daughter in law. Today was important since she was the one that invited me to their mansion I couldn’t afford to mess this up. Not after what happened.

Xander had thrown me out of his office. It was the most humiliating experience of my life. He was done with me, wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say.

But I wasn’t ready to give up. I needed to find a way back into his life, and I was certain Mrs. Devon could help.

After much deliberation, I settled on a navy blue dress. It was elegant but not too flashy. I paired it with a simple necklace and earrings. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I took a deep breath. “You can do this, Sasha,” I whispered to myself.
