ADELINE’S POV

I arrived home exhausted after a long day at the office. The sun was setting when I stepped through the front door. My shoulders drooped. I was so tired all I wanted was to relax and sleep.

First things first, I kicked off my uncomfortable shoes letting them tumble to the floor.

My feet were sore, and the cool tiles underfoot provided a soothing sensation. My stomach growled and I remembered that I hadn't eaten since lunch.

I trudged into the bathroom, the soft light flickering on as I entered. With a flick of the switch, the room was bathed in a warm, inviting glow. The mirror reflected a tired face staring back at me, lines of fatigue etched around my eyes and mouth. I splashed cool water on my face, the refreshing sensation waking me up a little.

Skincare was next on the agenda. I went through the familiar routine: cleansing, toning, moisturizing. Finally, I decided to treat myself to a face mask, the creamy texture soothing as I smoothed it over my skin.
