Chapter 29 Part II – The Real Bad Guys

"Huh." I scoffed, looking over at McConney's bloody splatter on the ground floor. "Look at that. After pestering us for years, the NVMPD's pussy of a director dies without us breaking a sweat."

"I know right?" Krieg agreed. "It's so... underwhelming."

"Hmm."

We quietly watched the body for a while. Until I said, "We should get that cop ready."

I walked out of the office with hurried steps overlapping mine. Gunshots deafened my ears and pure chaos everywhere. When I reached the cubicles I saw on my way to the office, I saw our men exchanging heavy gunfire with the distraught cops. I wouldn't blame them, since they were just informed that their Director fell 6-levels to his death.

I retraced my steps, avoiding stray bullets and taking down those who went in my way. Krieg is probably pushing his own plan by now since we agreed to mind our own businesses after initiating the raid. This is a golden opportunity to get revenge from the cops and he'd be stupid to just let this place
