Chapter 20 – Fear

“No. You don’t mean that. Why are you saying that?” She reached for him again, but he took a step back.

Ciara’s heart broke at seeing him avoid her. The dam of tears flooded her face, and she grabbed him again.

“I won’t ask you to wait for me. You’ve already waited long enough. If you meet someone better, don’t hesitate.
