Chapter Fifty-seven

Aden's POV

I felt bad for Katrina. If I had known she lost her father. I would have been kinder towards her. I felt bad for treating her like she was invisible after I awoke to see her by my bedside.

I can't imagine how sad and lost she must have been since it happened.

I now recall why she said something about being relieved, that she couldn't be able to bare another loss.

Now It was evident to me that the first loss she referred to was her father's.

I had to force myself to calm down and began looking for Katrina.

Borgn wasn't as lively as it used to be, anyone would instantly know that something was wrong in this town. The silence was deafening. Its Citizens were sad and moaning.

It hurts me to realize that I wasn't able to save either Kenvy or Borgn when it mattered the most. I saw myself as a failure. There was something Cassel said that made me so worried and I needed to do something about it.
