Chapter Forty-nine

Aden's POV

Igatus didn't try to move us out of the cell just yet. He knew it will be tough to subdue us.

He used a magic desiccant which knocked us out in seconds. The last thing I remember was one of his men threw a can into the cell, the can let out its gaseous content that made us pass out…

I opened my eyes, trying to figure out where I was. I noticed Charles and Piers were tied to the ceiling just like me.

That bastard Henry, I underestimated him, I totally took him for a complete moron… He was killed like a worthless animal. Good for him! Didn't he know what was going to happen if he met Igatus without planning ahead?

The fool would have even struck a deal with us. He would have told us where to find Igatus and in return, we would have protected him. But he stupidly had his own plan in his head. A plan even Igatus wasn't happy about.

Igatus was not happy that Henry brought us to the location. Since we are here, this hideout wasn't going to be a secret anymore.
