Chapter Seventy-six

Kierra's POV

The long-awaited call came through. I have been waiting here for twenty minutes.

I picked up the call and he told me he was at my door.

I went to open the door for him to come in.

"Welcome, please have a seat" I offered him a seat in the dining area.

"Thank you"

"Would you like some water?"

"Yes please!"

I brought the water to him and dropped it on the dining table. He looked at me and said.

"Kierra, what have you done? I told you coming back here wasn't the right thing to do. Now we are doomed!'' he speaks to me while shaking his head. "Was it that bad?" I thought to myself.

"What did I do? And why do you keep saying I shouldn't have come back? You expect me to run away and pretend everything's okay. You want me to let my Uncle and aunt's killers live in peace."

"That's not what I am saying, Kierra. Some battles are better left unfought. Have a seat and listen to what I have to tell you." the Whisperer said with tired-looking eyes.

"Ok," I say, pulling a chair forwar
