Chapter Seventy-two

Kierra's POV

It has been two days since the broadcast and the news about the lady who seeps people's life source. The news was still trending but the fear that was initially there of the woman turning out to be the killer had vanished.

It seemed Aden's audio message had done the magic. I was so grateful to him.

The evening that I waited impatiently for Aden to return, he came back much earlier. It wasn't until an hour after the sunset that I heard the horn of his car. I was so happy, like a child, I went out of the house and ran to him. When he saw me it was as if he knew I was coming to hug him, he opened his arms and took me in his warm embrace.

"Thank you!" I whispered.

"I'll do anything for you, love," he told me.

Aden had decided it's best I worked from home for some time to let the current problem cool off.

Two days later we had a visitor. This is the third time he will be coming around here. It was Lucian's cousin, I wondered what he was doing here as Aden wasn't back yet.
