Adrian and I decided to spend the night on this island, even if things turned a bit heavy after he said he basically didn’t deserve me. I didn’t know what to say, but Adrian seemed to sense my reluctance to leave, so he called the jet ski company - it’s okay to return the vehicle tomorrow. For that, I’m eternally grateful, but this night didn’t turn out to be as romantic as I had hoped.

Even though I’m lying beside Adrian, it feels like we are miles apart. It saddens me. He used to be my best friend, and now it feels like we just go on each other’s nerves.

Could it be that we have grown apart?

I sit up to watch him, mesmerized by his beauty. The pale moonlight casts a light blue glow over his perfect skin, and his long eyelashes fall over his high cheekbones to make him look even more like an otherwordly elf or something else inhumanely beautiful.

“You’re staring at me...” He mutters, and I immediately turn away, embarrassed for being caught checking him out.
