"Mr. Connor?"

"Yes, pleased to meet you," Leon replied coldly.

His grip on Arren never wavered; he held her as if to ensure his arms were the safest shield, protecting her from the world.

"Open the car!" Leon ordered the driver in a firm tone. The driver promptly obeyed their employer's command and opened the car door quickly.

"I-I'm sorry, Sir. The lady must accompany us to the police station," the inspector said with apparent hesitation in his eyes. It was evident he was trying to overcome his trembling when facing Leonard Connor, a powerful man in Canada.
